Meet the manufacturer

From engineering concept to a working solution.

Hugo Beck is a German family-owned company, now run by the third generation. It specialises in horizontal film and paper packaging. In-house design, machine manufacturing and software development allow systems to be tailored to individual production processes.

For customers, this means developing the right configuration together: from a stand-alone machine to a system integrated into a production line. The starting point is your product and the packaging result you need.

What sets Hugo Beck apart

What makes the difference to packaging quality?

01

Engineering around your requirements

In-house mechanical and controls engineering, combined with modular construction, enables product conveying, sealing and line integration to be specified for the application. This includes unusual product formats and production processes.

02

Precision throughout the process

Tracking product position by the distance travelled supports repeatable pack formats and machine operation. Together with controlled film handling, the right sealing system and a well-matched shrink tunnel, this produces consistent, neatly finished packs.

03

Less excess packaging material

Close-fitting bags and accurate film control help reduce excess film allowances. Selecting the right film formulation and gauge creates further opportunities for optimisation. We assess cost per finished pack, taking film waste and throughput into account.

04

Industrial operation and long-term support

Systems configured for multi-shift operation, including 24/7 production, can be integrated with upstream and downstream processes. Maintenance access and spare parts support, including support for older machines, help keep installations in service for years.

POLPACK applications and installations

From premium pack presentation to bespoke applications.

Chocolates, cosmetics, multipacks and unusual industrial products: together with Hugo Beck, we specify the machine around the product, the required pack presentation and the way your production site operates.

Premium presentation for chocolates and cosmetics

For pralines, boxed chocolates and cosmetics, clear film, minimal film allowances and precise seals all contribute to presentation. SERVO X solutions, including the optional near-invisible longitudinal ionisation seal, help create packaging that complements the quality of the product.

Multipacks and film consumption optimisation

We bring products together in multipacks, selecting the pack arrangement, film and shrink process. At ALPEN CAMPING, a SERVO X machine packs gas cartridges in groups of four, combining consistent pack quality with material optimisation.

Paper alternatives and material flexibility

We assess how to change the packaging material while maintaining the required protection and an efficient process. Our PAPER-X installation for lampshades demonstrates the use of uncoated paper with adhesive applied by the machine.

We select the machine and packaging material together: POF shrink film or, with a suitable machine configuration, OLYMPIA PAPER with heat-activated adhesive (PL). This is a separate approach from applying adhesive in the machine.

Have a different application? We can arrange packaging trials with your products, discuss line integration and provide POLPACK service support.
