Mobile pallet wrappers offer more flexibility compared to stationary pallet wrappers. There are certain applications that are “dedicated” to mobile wrappers. In the following short article, I outline the key advantages for choosing a robotic pallet wrapper over a traditional rotary table wrapper or arm wrappers. Mobility: of course, the mobility of a pallet wrapping machine is a key feature of this type of machine.

Mobility: Obviously the mobility of the pallet wrapper is a key feature of this type of machine. In what situations does this asset have the greatest impact? If you are unable to clear space on the shop floor or in the warehouse, you can drive the wrapper up to the pallet, wrap it in stretch film, and put it away when you are finished. Often, forklift users set up pallets at ramps, and the operator wraps the pallets that are set up there. When the pallets are finished wrapping, they drive the mobile wrapper away to another location. Another common use for mobile wrappers is the ability to travel to different areas of the warehouse and wrap prepared pallets before they are put away at the loading docks.

Oversized pallets: Another advantage of robotic pallet wrappers is the ability to wrap oversized pallets. Stationary wrappers mostly have size and weight limitations for pallets. With a mobile pallet wrapper, you are not forced to do the time-consuming and less efficient manual wrapping of oversized loads. Robot for stretch wrapping pallets will repeatably secure all loads!

Heavy or unstable pallets: A mobile pallet wrapper is also a great choice if you have very heavy or unstable pallet loads. The pallets are stationary, so you don’t have to worry about the product tipping over while you are wrapping it, and you are not limited by the heavy weight of the load you are securing.

• Robot LEO SP. Bigger “brother” of LEO wrapping machine. Standard column allows wrapping pallets with height up to 2200mm, and optionally even 2700mm. LEO SP needs slightly more space around wrapped load in comparison to its “little brother”.
• LEONARDO Robot. Advanced robot for pallet wrapping. Its dimensions and workspace are almost identical to the LEO robot, but what distinguishes this robot is a telescopic mast that allows to wrap a pallet up to 2350cm and adjustable motorized stretch film stretching system.

Film for mobile wrapping machines

In order to optimally secure the load on a pallet, it is important to choose the right film for the robot. Depending on the weight of the pallet, whether it is stable or not, we can offer the following stretch films:

• POLISTRETCH 10 film Nano stretch film pre-blocked. It is perfect for mobile stretch wrappers with friction stretch film stretching system, dedicated to shaped pallets. On one 17.5 kg roll as much as 3600 meters of film! Despite being only 10 microns thick, this foil is surprisingly durable.
• POLISTRETCH 12 film Universal nano stretch film. Dedicated to various types of machines. It is useful where we do not have repetitive pallets and at the same time we care about economical pallet wrapping. 3000 meters of film on a roll
• POLISTRETCH 15 film. high stretch and extremely strong film with 15 micron thickness. Designed for robots equipped with motorized stretch film stretching system OR for irregular pallets. 2400 meters of roll
• Biodegradable stretch film. It is an ecological machine stretch film 20 microns thick.
• PCR machine stretch film. This film is made of at least 30% of raw materials coming from post-consumer waste. Using PCR film we give used plastics a “new life”.
• super power stretch film. For traditionalists expecting “solid” protection of a pallet we offer the highest quality machine stretch film with the thickness of 20 or 23 microns. This foil is dedicated to mobile wrappers with both frictional foil stretching and motorized stretching.
• prestretch machine film. Stretch film for the most economical users. 8 or 9 microns thick. Dedicated to stretch wrappers with mechanical stretch film tension and shaped pallets.
